Theory of Constraints Institute
The Theory of Constraints (TOC) was conceived in the early 1980s as a tool to manage operations. Since then, the TOC body of knowledge has grown significantly and has been applied successfully to project management, replenishment and distribution, finance, and marketing.
TOC resolves management dilemmas by asking three simple but critical questions:
- What do I need to change?
- What should the change be?
- How do I make that change successfully?
These three questions collectively embody what is known as the TOC Thinking Process. It’s a process that will help you determine root causes, resolve conflicts, and derive winning solutions that benefit all parties.
