Training healthcare providers on healthcare
issues associated with bio-terrorism
Beginning in December 2001 interested professionals participated in
3 one-hour
internet-based sessions on a variety of dates and times facilitated
by
recognized leaders in emergency medicine. These presentations are
now
online at this site.
What Is BT101?
BT 101 is an Internet-based training forum for emergency medicine
physicians on healthcare issues associated with bio-terrorism. The
online training sessions will be facilitated by board certified
emergency medicine physicians who are recognized for their knowledge
of medical intervention in the event of a substantial bio-terrorism
event.
Who is the
target audience for the training?
The training is initially
limited to EM physicians. Subsequently, it will cascade down via
selected media approaches to PCP's, nurses, and EMS personnel.
What topics will be presented?
The topics are as follows:
